WMS are one of the biggest real money slot machine developers in the World. Vegas Casinos are full of the games made by WMS, including classics like Monopoly, Wizard of Oz, Zeus, Bier Haus, Spartacus, and Goldfish
Williams Gaming, or just WMS, is a subsidiary of the larger WMS industries company. It was founded in 1991, and began making video lottery terminals and slot machines. In just a few short years, the developer managed to create several successful slots. The company has built a strong name for themselves. Enough to attract Scientific Games, who bought WMS and its parent company in 2013 for $1.5 billion.
The software provider may have started with video lotteries, but they are a slot-only developer in the online space. Not that it has hampered the company in the slightest! There is clearly a talented team working at WMS, as they have created some memorable games. Join us as we highlight some of their best releases!
Here, you can enjoy all of the best free online slots made by WMS - the games are idenical to the real money games you would play in Las Vegas casinos, but you don't have to spend a single cent to get the thrill.
Best WMS Games
It speaks volumes that Raging Rhino launched in 2015, and can still be found in the top 100 slots lists. This is the slot, which in our eyes, helped the 4096 ways to win system really take off. Its medium-high volatility with a six-reel playing field make it fun to play. The fact you can win up to fifty free spins will also attract many players. Especially with Wild multipliers appearing during the special feature!
Spartacus Megaways tells the tale of a powerful gladiator who fought to free the slaves from their Roman masters. The game also uses the Megaways system, which by itself is often enough to create some juicy prizes. This release has cascading reels, curtains that block symbols, free spins and expanding Wilds. This is a fantastic combination of bonuses. Something you will find out as you spend hours playing this title!
Monopoly Electric Wins is a game that tries to blend slots and the Monopoly board game in one package. We had our doubts, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that WMS pulled it off so well! This is a delightfully feature-heavy bonus that would take us a long time to explain fully. Keeping it brief: this is a low-medium variance release with an RTP of 96.39%. The maximum prize you can win is 1000x your total stake.
Few slot themes work as well as ancient South American civilisations. Montezuma leads us deep into the jungle in hopes of uncovering an awesome treasure hidden within. How many free spins you get to play is determined by the spin of a lucky wheel? You can get anywhere from three to twenty-five free spins! At the start of each spin, a wheel spins above the reels to reveal a multiplier from 2x to 10x.
Zeus God of Thunder is one of the few WMS releases that require you to place an Extra Bet. Technically, you can skip it, but it does decrease your odds of winning big. Depending on how many sky icons trigger the Wheel, you get to play a different one. With Extra Bet active, you get more Wilds and free spins from the wheel. The wheel also gives you an opportunity to win the fixed jackpots in the upper right corner.
We suggest checking out Wizard of Oz: Road to Emerald City, Nemo’s Voyage and Monopoly: Big Money Reel
The company’s core values are Innovation, Passion, Integrity, Quality and Respect.
Snow Leopard is WMS’ highest RTP slot, sitting at 97.75%.
Almost all WMS releases have a demo mode, allowing you to try a slot before spending money on it.

Innovative, Groundbreaking Games
Games made by WMS have often been at the very forefront of technology and innovation. Examples include the incredible stride forward in graphics, gameplay and sound when they released their G+ and G++ series of slots (including games like Kronos and Zeus)
Similarly, WMS were the first to develop elongated reel slots, when they released their 'Colossal Reels' games. For a while, those games were the most popular (and highest earning for the casinos) in both Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
WMS were also amongst the first slot makers to include a luxurious seat on some of their games, with Bose speakers embedded in it, that give a 3 dimensional effect when you hit certain bonuses. For example, Lord of the Rings, when it was first released, took these technologies to a totally new level.
Combined with vibrations from the chair, these features gives an incredible experience that you would not get with an online slot machine. Technologies like this are what separates real money slots in places like Vegas apart from the games online.
On good example would be when Glinda the Good Witch comes along with her magic wand in Wizard of Oz slots. first you feel a slight rumble, then the reels go slightly blurry like something very weird is happening (the first time you experience this it is very strange), then you hear her coming along as she appears from right to left the sound travels around your ears in 3D. It is, simply stunning and makes you want to experience it many times. Very clever.
Classic Vegas Games by WMS

You might also want to see the Goldfish game. This one is free to play and is just the same as the one in Las Vegas, it is great fun and one of our most popular games here at penny-slot-machines.com
Williams Gaming’s History
WMS gaming originated in the 1940’s as a pinball manufacturer. The company was founded by Harry Williams who used his engineering background to develop the first “tilt” unit for pinball machines.
The games produced by Williams Manufacturing Company later became produced by the well known Midway games that had many hits in video arcades both with pinball titles and alter with video games as well and they continue to provide titles to video arcades today. Williams Gaming split from Midway and has since changed their name to WMS Gaming to keep up with the times and improve their brand image.
As Williams Gaming, they have come a long way since the 1940’s pinball machines by providing different types of casino gaming devices. The first gambling machines they produced were video lottery terminals in the late 1980’s. In the early nineties, Williams Gaming started to manufactured video poker machines, then later in the decade, they entered the slot machine market place.
Their first hit was in 1996, with a video slot machine called "Reel ‘em In". This machine was a very innovative product, shunning the traditional mechanic machine, with limited themes, and starting fresh with new symbols and game play that included the first multi-line game as well as multiple coin games with secondary bonuses.
One of the things that set WMS gaming apart from other casino gaming manufacturers is their titles. They were one of the first companies to license brand names that everyone knows and as such has had some serious successes with games in the Monopoly series as well as The Wizard of Oz, Top Gun, Star Trek and more.
By securing licenses, they can put out games that are legally able to use the names, likenesses and in many cases voices of the characters from the Television shows or movies bearing the same name.
WMS also works hard to keep all generations of casino gamers happy. They still produce older models that have less features simply because this is the type of game which older casino gamers prefer to play.
Players who love video games, on the other hand, crave the latest and greatest games and more challenging games that have some skill based elements to them. For this generation, WMS has games including an entire line of games in their Sensory immersion gaming line. Included in this gaming platform are two versions of the Wizard of Oz title as well as a Top Gun game and a Dirty Harry game.
Each game is completely unique, but with top quality graphics provided by serious computing and graphics computing power that rivals top gaming PC’s as well as surround sound systems built into each console and equipped with top notch speakers from the well respected manufacturer Bose.
On top of sound, game play is also built into the seat, making the Top Gun slot machine game better than most flight simulator games in arcades.
WMS sets itself apart by offering strong products and strong titles that fit the game experience that many different people are looking for.
