How It Looks

Chinese-themed games have been quite popular recently. This release follows that trend in a somewhat predictable fashion. We see a delightful dark red background with various floral patterns spread across it. This gives the background image some diversity, as do the two golden dragons on both sides of the reels!

Lower value symbol designs are playing card royals: J, Q, K and A. Blazing X has stylised them to make them look similar to Chinese letters. It is a small detail, but one that goes a long way in immersing us. Higher value icons are a fan, a small box, a butterfly and a coin. The word Wild written on a red background is the Wild. Meanwhile, a golden dragon on a blue background is the Scatter, and can only appear on reels two, three and four.

Bonus Games

When a Wild lands on the third reel, it will nudge up or down to completely cover all five positions. On top of covering the entire reel, the Wild also activating the game’s progressive multiplier bonus! When a Wild lands, the multiplier is increased. It starts at 1x, and goes up to 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, and 25x, in that order. Once the multiplier goes above 1x, players get three chances to land another Wild to upgrade the multiplier again. If this does not happen, the multiplier is reset back to 1x.

Land three Scatters on reels two, three and four simultaneously to win ten free spins. Activating free spins also grants a 2x payout, which is affected by the progressive multiplier. Your current multiplier is carried into free spins, and can be further increased by landing Wilds on the third reel. Playing free spins does come with an awesome advantage: the multiplier does not reset! If you started the free spins with a 5x multiplier, it will remain active until the bonus ends. Scatters cannot appear during free spins, making it impossible to retrigger the special feature.
