We’re not sure why Pragmatic Play loves animals so much. It feel like every other slot they make is either focused on them, or at least includes them! Honestly, beyond the animal symbols, there’s nothing to look forward to visually. There is a -hint- of a background image. You can barely make out a tree in the distance, birds flying in the distance, and the gentle sway of the grass. But the reel placement blocks all of those elements from being seen proper. We wouldn’t mind if the icon designs were fantastic. But the only thing you can see on the playing field are the above average animals and utterly abysmal playing card royals.

You play this release on a 5x4 board with 50 paylines, which pay left to right only. There’s only one available special feature: a free spin round, with extra Wilds being added with each spin. Oh, and the free spins can be indefinitely retriggered. Now, we’d be willing to accept just one bonus if it was something cool and amazing. But a free spins special feature with lots of Wilds does not fit into that category. Pragmatic Play can do a lot better than this!

We can’t remember the last time we were so thoroughly disappointed by a Pragmatic Play release. There’s usually something about their slots that we like. But in Safari King, every aspect seems to be mismanaged somehow. The background image is blocked by the reels. The top prize is too low for the volatility this game offers. Not to mention the fact it has only one special feature, which simply is not strong enough to carry this release on its own. As a result, we recommend skipping this slot. It’s just not worth your time or money.
